As the academic year begins, members of the Wayne State College Art Club will celebrate with an exhibit of their works, calling it “Color”. The exhibit features a variety of mediums and processes, including prints, drawings, paintings, and sculptures. The featured student artists include Delaney Wusk (Wahoo, NE), Elise Sturek (Lincoln, NE), Ellie Rodenbough (Elkhorn, NE), Justin Guenther (Randolph, NE), Kailey MacDowell (Omaha, NE), Magdalena Hernandez (Essex, IA), Lis Gonzalez (Gretna, NE), and Perla Ramirez Castillo (Grand Island, NE). Blue Cat Gallery will host an opening reception on Friday, August 28th from 4:00-5:30pm. The public is invited to attend this free event to meet the artists and enjoy refreshments and conversations while viewing the exhibit. “Color” will be on display August 28th – September 19th. Gallery hours are Fridays 1-4pm and Saturdays, 10am-4pm during the fall season.
