The Changing Landscape of Renewable Energy in Nebraska

The Changing Landscape of Renewable Energy in Nebraska

Wednesday, March 5, 2025 (7:00 PM - 8:00 PM) (CST)

Description

The potential for utility-scale renewable energy systems is becoming a reality across Nebraska, bringing exciting opportunities and important questions. To help address these questions, Conservation Nebraska, in partnership with the University of Nebraska Extension, is hosting an educational seminar on renewable energy in Nebraska. This event will provide an overview of key topics, including policy, landowner concerns, recent technological advances in renewable energy systems, and the potential impacts of wind and solar development in Nebraska.

The seminar will be based on objective, academic research and is not sponsored or coordinated with wind or solar development firms. Our goal is to provide a neutral platform for discussing the latest developments in renewable energy and its implications for the region. John Hay, Extension Educator in Biological Systems Engineering, will lead the seminar. As one of the top researchers in biological systems engineering in the Midwest, he will provide valuable insights into the current state of renewable energy.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about the event or would like additional information about Conservation Nebraska.
