Description
The Wayne Green Team invites all surrounding communities to its annual electronics recycling collection on Saturday, September 12, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. (ends earlier if the truck fills up). The event will be held in the FNBO parking lot at 1100 East 10th Street in Wayne. Enter the parking lot from the west to unload, then exit to the east onto Hillside Drive.
Bring your old TVs, computers, cell phones, printers, cords, and more. You can also bring VHS tapes, vacuums, blenders, toasters, and kitchen mixers, but no large appliances, dehumidifiers/humidifiers, or batteries. See the full list of acceptable items at www.cityofwayne.org/594/Electronics.
Funding comes from the Nebraska Department of Water, Environment, and Energy, with electronics recycling services by The Retrofit Companies. Volunteer support comes from the Wayne State College Men’s Basketball and Women’s Soccer teams.
Since 2013, the community has recycled over 200,000 pounds of electronics. Thank you for recycling right by bringing your electronics to the Wayne Green Team’s annual collection event.
