HIS Baking Co. Hosts Chamber Coffee and Ribbon Cutting
On Friday, February 21st (7 months after their Grand Opening), HIS Baking Co., owned by Chris and Jaclyn Beach, hosted Chamber Coffee followed by an official ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate their new business at 309 Main Street in Wayne. Approximately 40 attendees consisting of HIS's daily coffee crowd, patrons, local business owners, and Wayne America Ambassadors packed the cozy bakery to socialize and sample artisan bread, cookies, and pastries.
Chris and Jaclyn started baking out of their home in Allen, Nebraska as a mission 4 years ago. "Most of your special moments in life feature food, which is why we're so passionate about doing what we do", explained Chris, adding that they use only the truest of ingredients. Everything is homemade, including the cakes/cupcakes, donuts, and cookies. The glazes on their donuts are made with honey instead of corn syrup, the buttercream in their pastries is homemade with real butter, frying oil is swapped for beef tallow, and fresh fruits are used in scones, sourdoughs, and muffins, omitting red artificial dyes. Jaclyn thanked everyone in attendance, referencing the support they've received from customers, family, friends, the community, and Elkhorn Valley Bank since opening their doors in Wayne.
HIS Baking Co. is a bakery and diner that operates Tuesday - Saturday from 5:30am - 1:00pm, serving a full menu of hot breakfast in addition to a variety of pastries, donuts, and sourdough breads. Full-service catering is also available by booking via their website or calling the bakery. For customers needing pastries and/or breads outside of business hours, HIS Baking Co. stocks products in Quality Foods (Wayne), Pac N Save (Wayne), and Hometown Market (Laurel).
