For more information, contact the WSC Department of Music at 402-375-7359. Genslinger is WSC’s assistant director of bands, trumpet instructor, and jazz band director. Dr. Loos serves as artistic director and conductor for Volusia Community Arts in Deland, Fla. and trumpet instructor at his private studio. Both have extensive solo and group performance experience on numerous national stages. The concert’s repertoire evokes vivid visuals and engaging melodies. “Under Western Skies” by Kevin McKee captures everything from a classic Western sunset to a trumpet-heralding morning, and dueling trumpets at high-noon. “Concerto for Two Trumpets” by Erik Morales celebrates the trumpet with solo and unison control and accuracy. “Doble o Nada” by Eduardo Nogueroles is a virtuosic ballad-waltz mix.
